Market Developer – Impact Europe Main purpose: To prepare and implement telephone based product, event marketing and market profiling campaigns to capture leads and information for dissemination through the Univar Europe organization. As a Market Developer you understand the tasks and roles of R&D departments in companies running chemical engineering and using chemical ingredients in their production process. You listen to researchers and developers and help them to find ingredients to drive their products and companies’ business further. You are enthusiastic about forging the link between early market trends and the solutions Univar brings to the market. As market developer you form an idea of the market in the specific country, which you develop together with the country’s sales forces. You take up the responsibility and leadership to drive the business further. You are commercially driven and result oriented. As part of the impact team the market developer is customer oriented. This means you listen to customer satisfaction and customer needs. You make the extra effort to exceed customer expectations. Performance Measures: - To effectively prepare, implement and report on an agreed number of campaigns in a defined period. - To have an agreed number of customer interactions per day. - Number of leads/quotes/orders handed to local Univar sellers. - To use the phone and CRM system in accordance with the defined process and procedures. Key Tasks: - To behave in accordance with the Univar Core Values - Comply with all safety, health and environmental notices. - To execute Campaigns being planed with the Marketing Manager. - To execute telemarketing, market profiling and tele selling campaigns in accordance with the plan. - To use the value proposition and the collateral when doing so. - Collate marketing data using a CRM system. - Generate samples, quotations and leads and pass to relevant sales contacts. - To prospect for new customers. - To develop additional products and volume whenever possible. - To record and follow up quotations and/or sample requests. - To be able to find and to use all relevant information regarding the Univar product range and relevant competitor ranges, using the internet or CRM. - To follow the specified marketing process. - Generate and distribute market information in the marketing team and through the Univar organization.
